"Manslaughter", Cecil B. DeMille (1922)

Em 1922, Cecil B. DeMille "swingava" pela Década do Jazz a contar esta história de uma menina mimada e de excessos, que tem o contraponto num procurador que a ama "for the girl he thinks she could be, but not for the girl she is". Com "flash-backs" históricos a reforçar o hedonismo da personagem principal, DeMille está menos afirmativo e "swinga".
